The Flash Flood Warning and Flood Advisory that were in effect for parts of Bexar County on Saturday have expired after heavy thunderstorms caused flooding in some areas.

While the immediate flood threat has diminished, the National Weather Service says there is still a chance for additional showers and thunderstorms in the days ahead.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms remains in the forecast Saturday night, with isolated storms also possible Sunday afternoon. Rain chances increase early next week, with a 30% chance of storms Monday afternoon and evening, followed by a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday.

High temperatures are expected to remain in the upper 80s to low 90s through much of the week.

Forecasters say localized heavy rainfall is still possible with stronger storms, so residents should continue to monitor the forecast and avoid driving through flooded roadways if heavy rain develops.
